Q: What is the difference between stem cells and progenitor cells?
– Progenitor cells are similar to stem cells but lack the ability to self-renew. Absence of self-renewal capability makes progenitor cells a much safer and more predictable source of bioactive molecules, growth factors and cytokines.
Q: Do your products really contain live cells?
– No, Mikhliné product line does not contain any of the live cells. L’oumelle line contains growth factors and cytokines that were produced by progenitor cells and preserved for cosmetic applications.
Q: I've read that live (stem) cells can't stay alive in a beauty product. Is this true?
– You are absolutely right! No live cells can exist in cosmetic cream. Cells require a very stringent and precise conditions to survive and grow.
Q: Where are the cells from?
– Mikhliné products use progenitor cell generated molecules as a main component of CsBC. These molecules are manufactured from human progenitor cells from an FDA-licensed cell manufacturing facility in San Diego, CA.
Are the CsBC safe?
– Safety and quality are very important to us. Our CsBC molecules are manufactured using progenitor cells that undergo rigorous safety testing and are licensed and quality-control monitored by several government agencies, including the U.S. FDA. There are no reports of contamination in the company’s years producing more than 30 billion progenitor cells. No animal testing was conducted in the development of our cosmetics.
What is the best way to store L’oumelle products?
– L’oumelle cosmetic products can be stored at room temperature until the expiration date. Our serum is recommended to be used within one month, if stored at room temperature below 77°F. L’oumelle Serum can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 30 days.
